Brianna Marsh (Co-Founder | Co-Director) / Brianna’s formative years were spent in the woods playing make-believe, dancing in living rooms with the furniture pushed up to the walls, and in gardens painting and watching things grow. In a homeschool family of five kids (often referred to as the “von Marsh Family Singers”), performing and creating had always been woven into the fabric of her upbringing.

In high school, Brianna, with support from her Mom and other homeschool moms, had the opportunity to direct, choreograph, facilitate, and perform in a yearly showcase for local homeschoolers. It was through these productions that the very first seeds of Brianna’s dream were planted.

But it was in her studies at Eastern University that the seeds and sprouts were cultivated under Teresa Moyer, Stephen Welsh, Janine Bryant, Michael Brix, Randy Petersen, and Jenny Tibbels. Weekly meetings with fellow students and directors in an Actor’s Lab, provided valuable opportunities to develop her performance and stage expertise along with studies in modern and ballet. She took part in the Chamber Choir, performed in a stage production of William Inge’s Picnic, and a production of Godspell. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA that includes music, theater, dance, and business.

Alongside teaching and directing, Brianna has performed in over thirty productions in both local community and professional theater companies including the Ritz Theater, SALT Performing Arts and Playcrafters of Skippack. She also sang in the Pre-Broadway Cast of Amazing Grace: The Musical.

For over 10 years, side-by-side with her mom, Brianna has designed summer camps and classes for youth that blend dance, music, theater, poetry, fine and visual arts.

Diane Marsh (Co-Founder | Co-Director) / Throughout her 20+ years as a homeschool mom, Diane encouraged her own children to imagine and investigate, and ultimately, seeing life through the lens of the arts became a natural trajectory. She found this unlocked the opportunity for other students to build confidence in themselves. When her own kids were younger, she directed and staged an annual performing arts event, a collaborative effort with local families titled Imagine. In which, all corners of the arts were blended to showcase each student’s unique abilities.

Raised on a steady diet of dance, music, and fine arts herself, Diane’s childhood and college years helped instill in her the importance of teaching and being taught in equal measure. She earned a BA in French from Dickinson College with an additional focus in dance theater. She has spent numerous years working in the financial world and currently holds leadership roles in multiple organizations outside of Scattered Seeds.

She performed and taught with Hatch Dance Theater in Chestnut Hill for many years. While active with Hatch, she also focused on areas of marketing and production planning. She has performed in Philly Fringe, Group Motion Grant Collective, The Jenks School, and at Penn State Abington, among others. She danced with and trained under Germaine Mancke, Melinda Tatum-Kaiser, Cheryl Pento, Christine Villardo, Nancy Hill, Claire Hollicker, and Bianca Freeland. Most recently, she joined her two daughters on stage in Ragtime with Willow Manor Players.
